Some of the best pork you'll ever taste! Our pigs have the best kind of life with open access to pasture daily and room to romp around and play. Our favorite breed to raise are Berkshires which are great foragers on pasture and provide a lean, tender, and desirable meat that will have your mouth watering. By giving our hogs access to full pasture we reduce stress and maximize their quality of life. 

The pigs diet is made up of certified organic feed, grasses and clover, treats from the garden, and specially planted cover crops.

Since 2023, we have added farrowing to our farm and now produce farrow-to-finish pork! What this means is that we will be guaranteeing the best treatment of our pigs from birth to butcher. Our piglets will experience lower stress once we won’t be weaning them until 8 weeks of age (traditionally it’s 6 weeks) and they won’t need to do any traveling until their one bad day to the butcher. Our piglets will be a mix of Berkshire crossed with Red Wattle.

I just wanted to post so everyone can hear how DELICIOUS your bacon is! We did a blind taste test a few weeks ago at our house for breakfast, your bacon versus store bought bacon. Only the cook knew which was which. Everyone in the house (5 people) choose your bacon! Thank you for coming to the farmer’s market so we could find you!

Chickens

New in 2024!

We will have organic chicken available for sale after late June. We will be raising 200 Cornish Cross chickens on pasture, fed only certified organic grains. Most will be available as frozen, whole birds, but we’re also going to have some cuts available. Meat will be available for sale at our farm store and at the Washburn Farmers’ markets Wednesdays 3 - 6 p.m.
